THE SYSTEM OF 9 MAIN CHAKRAS

This essay about the two revealed chakras brings information that not many people are familiar with yet. Some of the facts are stated here perhaps for the very first time ever. Chakras are presented here as the system of 9 main chakras, not the commonly known 7.

I'm greatly pleased that people I deeply respect for their knowledge of chakras and spirituality in general, welcomed this text on the SYSTEM OF 9 CHAKRAS as pioneering and inspiring.

Prof. Anna Strunecka ,Ph.D., DSc. commented on this text on chakras:

"All my heart chakras rejoice and shine! This text on chakras I consider to be the best I've ever read.

I myself tried many times to describe in detail the subject of chakras to people and had to resort to finding such words that would be accepted even in the academic field. The revelation of the two heart chakras is by no doubt related to the fact that the key power in the current psycho-spiritual transformation of people is love. I enjoyed the text so much that I read it all in one sitting despite being very busy and overwhelmed with my obligations. In any case, I'll read the text again and again, slowly and thoroughly, since I'm sure that it contains information stored in several layers."

THE SYSTEM OF 9 CHAKRAS

WHAT ARE CHAKRAS?

Just as we will never fully understand the essence of the Source, Creator, God, so we'll never be able to fully understand and describe the essence of chakras, Prana, karma, Kundalini ...

The human being is the child of the Cosmos. Ancient Hindu sacred scriptures (tantras) claim that our individual body consists of several bodies. For example, ancient Egyptians defined 12 of them.

These bodies consist of matter and energy of the corresponding worlds (coarse matter, fine matter, energetic fields, informational fields, ....), are connected to them and obtain information and energy from them. All fine bodies are mutually interlocked and communicate with their environment through energetic centres, called chakras.

chakra - chakras (plural) - cakra (in Sanskrit)

The word Chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning 'wheel', as well as 'lotus'.

The shining bio-energetic centre.

WHAT THE SCHOLARS SAY ABOUT CHAKRAS

  • Chakras are gods' dwelling places, places where we can connect to these gods and merge with the Cosmic Intelligence. Each chakra houses the ruler of some particular feature and, at the same time, all chakras contain the Absolute.
  • They are centres of powers which control our bodies and the world alike. In the lowest of them sleeps the 'creator of the world' curled up in a ball -Kundalini Shakti who gave rise to these centres of power. Awoken Kundalini rises up from one centre to the next and dissolves them within herself. This sets us free from the world of matter and lets us experience our true nature. Evolution happens through Kundalini rising and passing from one chakra to the next to finally merge with the Absolute in the Sahasrara chakra.
  • Chakras are psycho-energetic centres, generators and receivers of the divine energy. Through chakras we receive energy and information from God.
  • We can also view our Soul as a system of chakras.
  • Chakras are informational and energetic centres.
  • Chakras' petals are streams of energy and information and provide chakras with structure.
  • Chakras contain the information about the level of development of our gross and subtle bodies and our subconscious mind that develops from incarnation to reincarnation.
  • Chakras represent different existences and act as mediators between these existences.
  • Chakras are the centre of Shakti, the life force or vital energy - Prana Shakti.
  • The human body contains the entire Universe.
  • All parts of our bodies are connected to the cosmic forces orbiting in space and were created at the same time together with the Universe. The real nature of human beings is composed of powers, energies, light and radiation which condensed and created physical organs. Chakras are points where the cosmic energies crystallise into body quality, or transform into psychic powers.

Chakras are, metaphorically put, threaded through the spinal axis in the form of lotus flower with various numbers of petals. Ancient Egyptians called chakras gates. They viewed chakras as energetic gates. When the gates (chakras) are 'closed' they contain 'concentrated' Prana flowing through the central channel. When opened, the chakras are formed by the serpent power that rises through Sushumna up towards the cave of Brahma. It's stated that it's at this time when their potential reaches an unimaginable level. Improper work with some chakras can therefore result in great or even lethal danger.

Blocked chakras inevitably lead to many health problems. But there is always a good reason behind that. To try, forcibly and inexpertly, to change this, on the one hand unhealthy, but in a way settled condition, could have serious consequences. Working recklessly on their unblocking, which is not in harmony with the overall self-development, can trigger entirely unexpected and even deeper problems.

All work on your self-development must therefore happen in a meaningful way, gradually, step by step, combined with your own effort and energy. I personally know someone who unsuitably and lamentably opened their Crown Chakra.

HOW MANY CHAKRAS ARE THERE?

144? - Old yogis say that there are 144 chakras. The number 144 is an amazing, ancient, symbolic number referring to the highest Cognition of the spiritual principles. We'll focus on it in a little while.

49? - Other schools reckon that there are 49 of them. The number 49 is also magnificently symbolic. The number 4 has always been a symbol of mastering and orientation in the given environment whereas the number 9 is a symbol of the spiritual realm and human spiritual Cognition.

14?, 13? - Some great contemporary masters work with 14 chakras, others just with 13. These are amazing numbers, from the numerological point of view.

12? - The number 12 represents a powerful symbolical number again - the completed Divine cycle, the zodiac with 12 signs, 12 months...

The great mystic, Rudolf Steiner, discovered and described to the world 12 organs of perception (the Gates of the Soul), with which all humans are equipped. Using these Divine Cosmic tools, humans can touch and explore the essence of the world so that they can return again to the Cosmos.

Some of the very interesting sources, for example the work of Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri, state that there are 12 primary chakras, divided (according to their primary functions) into two groups of 6:

  • pinda chakras - related to the physical body
  • mahakarana chakras, also known as anda chakras (the cosmic egg chakras) - form energetic centres, in other words, causal chakras. These are located in the outer Aura. Based on this fact we can draw an assumption that the Soul takes these chakras with it after the physical death and remains under their influence until it, through its development, drops its outer Aura (in other words, reaches pure consciousness).

The Ancient Egypt 'Book of Gates', which speaks of chakras, analogically consists of 12 parts.

Or the popularly known 7? Or 9? And why exactly 9?

HOLISTIC INTERCONNECTION

The world is evidently holistic. Everything is connected to and influenced by everything else. It's therefore hardly surprising that various mind, spiritual, nature and physical principles incessantly repeat and manifest themselves in numerous shapes, patterns and variations. All this happening is based on the spiritual intentions and the subsequently formed patterns and matrices, forms and formants. The same principles of the Essence therefore blossom through and crystallise across different spheres and qualitative levels of the Cosmos. This clearly indicates, in a most beautiful way, that the purpose - the Spirit - dwells inside the Creation.

The same can be applied to symbols and numbers. They speak in a mysterious, but at the same time striking language. He who can read them, can also orientate himself on the path of searching and Cognition.

The two recently revealed chakras - SURYA and VAJRADHARA capture our attention also because of their location. One is above the heart chakra and the other one is under it. In other words, they surround our hearts.

The one under the heart - SURYA - is the source of self-confidence and inner power. It helps us to form our own ethical rules, principles and belief. It also restores the self-healing processes.

The one above the heart - VAJRADHARA - allows us to trigger the unknown powers idling within ourselves and control them in line with our own consideration and will. It's abundantly clear from just this little list of chakras potentials that they have the power and ability to help us become independent and wise beings that don't act like a herd of sheep any more. And in between them is the location of the heart chakra. It's the chakra of 'Love' - a type of love that is not based on reason. This layout enables the chakras SURYA and VAJRADHARA to sparkle with God's light which will lead us towards the Source, not away from it. And this, I believe, is so great and significant that it's desirable to know about them and explore them in more detail within the context of all chakras.

It's the petals in the chakras depictions that contain a hidden link to the compact and meaningful system of 9 chakras. Ancient sages and scholars, who have left us knowledge of the meridians, nadi and chakras, placed this legacy in the system of the number 144 000 code. This Divine code is here, on our planet, spontaneously interconnected with the symbol and number 9. If we work, in the spiritual sphere, with the 144 000 code, then we have to work with the number 9 code too. I believe that understanding these codes might be very helpful, because they represent one of the interconnecting parts of your holistic Universe. I'll therefore ask now for a bit of patience. I would like to set the knowledge of the numerical values of chakras into the holistic view and understanding of the world. I believe that our insight will become, through this, even deeper.

144 000 = 1 + 4 + 4 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 1 + 8 = 9

THE SYSTEM OF 9 CHAKRAS

When we look at the table in a moment we'll realise that the number of petals in the chakras (nadi) symbolically and logically refers to the number 144 000 and the number of nadi in the auxiliary chakras refers to the number 144. It perfectly complements all the above mentioned symbolical relationships. If we therefore accept the number 144 000 (or 144) as a starting point of a meaningful, symbolical perception of the world and human beings within their living environment then the number 9 is just a logical, principal outcome of this conception.

It seems that there are as many chakras as we can meaningfully recognise, identify and use.

We recognise the main and minor streams, the primary and secondary chakras. Acupuncture points, well-known to all of us, are formed by tertiary chakras. There are, according to reliable sources, over 6 million of these tertiary chakras alone. It's therefore just up to our skills and abilities how many chakras can we make use of for our benefit.

The contemporary literature most often describes the 7 Chakra System. However, some ancient, wise, esoteric sources speak of exactly 9 chakras. I assume that masters of any historical time knew very well which information was widely useful to the general public and which was not. It's useful to spread some knowledge publicly but other knowledge strictly the other way round, through individuals.

I myself wouldn't dare to publically announce any detailed information on the secret chakras. But the humankind and world have been developing. The great Masters have already started reacting to it by releasing information. The situation with the secret chakras SURYA and VAJRADHARA has changed so dramatically that they are no longer kept in secrecy. We'll therefore familiarize ourselves with their basic features. This brings the number of chakras to 9.

Today, there are publicly accessible sources of information on other secret chakras, for example, the SOMA chakra that is located in the vicinity of the ninth chakra SAHASRARA and the BINDU chakra in the area of the occipital bone. But at the same time, these sources give a strong warning that it's not advisable to work with these chakras without any previous knowledge and deep insight. We'll now focus only on those chakras that are publicly revealed by the great, wise Masters, whom I personally trust, like for example the Russian Master Boris Tikhanovsky.

SURYA is an esoteric chakra. It restores energetic processes and self-healing processes. It's the source of self-confidence and realisation of the power within you. It sets us free from the environmental influences, but at the same time it gives us power to influence our living environment. This centre is responsible for forming our own principles, ethical rules and belief.

VAJRADHARA allows us to raise the unknown, idling powers within ourselves and learn to control them in line with our consideration and will. It can protect us against the activities of foreign energies. It also seems to act as a barrier between the inner and outer powers. It's responsible for our protection (immunity). Its mantra evokes a great cosmic projection.

WHY WAS THE INFORMATION ABOUT THESE TWO CHAKRAS KEPT A SECRET?

I personally think that there were a couple of reasons behind that. One of them might be that during meditation with these chakras we can easily experience the SIDDHIS, in other words, paranormal or supernatural abilities. Traditional schools of yoga view them as dangerous, because the SIDDHIS can't be reached and used in this way. They reckon that it puts the yogi off the main aim - the liberation. In their conception, these abilities should occur spontaneously when reaching a high level of perfection. But other esoteric schools work with the SIDDHIS and their followers try to connect to God through them.

I believe that it's exactly the today's turbulent and ground-breaking times that, at all levels and spheres, support and prod us into our own creative perception of the world, life and ourselves. The vibrations are becoming more intensive. The time of human sheep in a heard is nearing its end. And it's exactly thanks to these two revealed chakras that we obtain, as a gift, a fascinating spiritual potential for our further personal development.

CONFUSION CAUSED BY CONCEALING

Keeping the SURYA chakra, which is located above the MANIPURA chakra, in secrecy over the centuries lead, during transcribing from one author to the next, to certain confusion in understanding and locating the third chakra MANIPURA. Some authors depict this chakra with eight and others with ten petals. It's sometimes placed into the region two to three fingers above the nave, or even higher up, in the area of the solar plexus.

And together with this, another mistake started to spread that the seven chakras correspond to the seven colours of the rainbow and to the seven notes on a musical scale. MULADHARA should be therefore red and....SAHASRARA should be violet. It's just speculative and simplifying conclusion.

The colours of the chakras depend on the current status of the human being and the status of the observer, which can and does alter. Chakras can be of any colour, depending on the status and level of perception. But at the same time, all colours are of equal importance.

TABLE SHOWING THE RELATION BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF PETALS AND POSITION OF CHAKRAS

A graph showing the relation between the number of petals nadi (i.e. the structures connecting the informational and energetic channels) and the location of chakras, forms the characteristic shape of the letter R

On a yet higher vibrational level is, depicted in blue, the unbounded and infinite value of Prana - the Source.

PETALS AND THEIR MEANING

  • Petals in depictions of chakras symbolise nadi, which are energetic and informational streams, connected to chakras and interconnecting them.
  • Each chakra is connected to a particular, characteristic number of nadi. The number of petals in each chakra's depiction is therefore determined by its position and the number of nadi. This gives chakras their symbolical feature - the lotus flower with nadi in the form of petals.
  • Specific, and for each chakra characteristic vibrations, are generated in nadi. Vibrations that are generated here are represented by the corresponding letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. In some chakras depictions, the petals contain various animals and symbols which further and in more detail characterises functions of a particular nadi.

Valerie Hunt proved that chakras play a role in the process of thinking and recalling.

She discovered that during the process of recalling the energy oscillates between the VISHUDDHA and AJNA chakra. It's interesting to notice that the processes of thinking and recalling energetically manifest themselves in an area which the system of 9 chakras leaves, for some reason, 'unnamed'.

THE HOLISTIC 'R' RELATIONSHIPS

'Everything manifested' are energies. We can therefore perceive the world quite well just through energies. Chakras, as key energetic centres, provide us with boundless potential for studying and exploring various relationships and connections within the Creation. One of the relations, which I called the 'R' relation, will become clear when we try to graphically represent the relation between the number of petals and the location of chakras.

Because the petals symbolise nadi which are flows of energy and information, that give chakras their characteristic structure, we can conclude from the graph the relationship between the whole energetic characteristic of a human being and his/her individual chakras. The resulting curve has a distinctive and characteristic shape. And indeed, this unmistakable shape is not just a graph, it's also a yantra, i.e. the visual code of our energetic centre - the MANIPURA chakra.

The MANIPURA chakra is influenced by other codes as well. The sound code (mantra) that vibrates this chakra is the sound of the R consonant. It's therefore only logical to graphically depict the sound of the R consonant by a shape that characterises the MANIPURA chakra (i.e. its yantra) - by the letter (shape) R.

The perfect holistic interconnectedness of the Universe tells me that this is one of the many reasons why the letter R is exactly like that and why it doesn't have some other shape. The holistic relationships are immense.

The letter R has become a straightforward symbol of the chakra that forms the energetic centre of the navel plexus, in other words, the chakra that is considered the 'centre of power'. If we were to place the symbol of awareness and knowledge of human energies into one of the chakras, then, I think that the symbolically most convenient would be exactly the 'centre of power' chakra. Knowledge and Cognition are the top class gems and wealth of the Spirit. Such a place then would really be MANIPURA, in other words, it would be a 'jewel place' (mani = jewel, pura = place).

And because the world is indeed holistic where everything is connected to everything else, the letter R has beautifully evolved into many other features and connections.

MANIPURA - 'R' RELATIONSHIPS

  • Ram - mantra. The letter R is the acoustic code of the mantra of the MANIPURA chakra.
  • The letter R is the visual symbol of this chakra. The letter R is the optical code of the yantra of the MANIPURA chakra.
  • The thiRd chakra, thRee (three = tRi in Sanskrit).
  • It's responsible for our eyesight (dRSTi in Sanskrit).
  • It produces the emotion of angeR (kRodha in Sanskrit).
  • The emotion of FeaR is also projected in it. (Many swear words frequently contain the letter R).

Keeping the esoteric chakra SURYA (Solar plexus/ 10petals /restores energetic processes), which is placed right above the MANIPURA chakra (navel plexus / 8petals / the centre of power) in secrecy for a long time, led to certain confusion when depicting the MANIPURA chakra.

Some of the features of the SURYA chakra were incorporated into its (MANIPURA) depiction. For example, the MANIPURA chakra was sometimes depicted with 8 and sometimes with 10 petals. The depiction above shows 10 petals, which are however placed in 8 corners. Although the depiction shows the 'Manipura' letter R, it's placed in the 'Surya' golden field, representing the Sun rays and the Sun energy.

The symbol of the yantra of the MANIPURA chakra, i.e. the Sanskrit letter R, precisely corresponds to the graph. In the symbol of the chakra, there is even a depiction of the relationship between the energetic profile of a human being and Prana, in other words, the unlimited energy of the Source.

The unbounded energy of the Source is depicted by the infinity symbol above which, in the yantra, even the 'eye of the Source' keeps a vigilant watch.

R  FORMANT

Given the nature of the subject, I'd like to, for the time being, resort to sharing any information only on an individual basis.

Muladhara

mul = root, adhar = base

1. The Muladhara Chakra

  • Location - near the basal end of the spinal column, in the vicinity of the coccygeal plexus, where the Kundalini Snake rests with its tail stuck out, i.e. 2 cm above the tip of the coccyx.
  • Function - It's the source of our existence and forms a very tight connection between our body and the Earth. Every human being has a body and animal roots. It forms the boundary between the human and animal consciousness. The first chakra is responsible for our survival, food, clothes, refuge, safety and reproduction. MULADHARA supports our psychological stability in various life situations. It's connected to the subconscious mind where deeds and experience from our previous lives are stored. It therefore forms the basis for the personal development and enables the fate happening in accordance with the karmic law. Among the positive features of this chakra belong vitality, life energy and the development of consciousness. Its negative aspects are laziness, carnal instincts and egocentricity. It's responsible for olfaction.
  • Yantra Four crimson petals. A yellow square with the corresponding Sanskrit symbol on a white background.
  • Mantra - LAM
  • Opening the chakra - one of the many ways: Adopt a relaxed, standing posture, shut your eyes. Relax and gently rock, with your child-like spontaneity within you, forwards and backwards as if you wanted to connect to the rhythm of the Universe. Let all your thoughts swim away.

Focus all your attention on the bottom end of your spine, the location of the MULADHARA chakra. Rub your palms on the chakra level and then bring your arms back along your sides and relax. Try to imagine and experience warmth in the chakra region. MULADHARA is associated with Earth's energies. Imagine anything that will connect you to the Earth. For example, imagine your feet are like roots growing through the ground, through the damp soil. Or imagine how you sink your feet and toes into the wet sand on the beach, deep into the colder layers. Imagine how, from the Earth through your legs, pleasantly cool and healing energy rises and fills your body. Just remain like that for a little while. Open your eyes.

The chakra exercises should be pleasant and should bring you feelings of health and freshness. You can practise with individual chakras or you can group them. The intensity can be gradually increased. If you experience unpleasant feelings, light headedness or headaches, don't proceed any further, don't strain yourself.

Practising with chakras can be intensified by singing mantras, either vocally or just in your mind. Experience shows that the power of voice, its duration or pitch, none of these matter. What really matters is the feeling of vibration or response - resonance in any given chakra. The mantra offers potential for magnificent mental work. The initial vowel of the mantra directs the sound vibrations into the right place in an enormously powerful way.

Svadhishthana

sva = one's own, adhisthana = dwelling place

2. The SVADHISHTHANA chakra

  • Location - Coccygeal plexus (ovaries, prostate gland) - it's located between the navel and the first chakra.
  • Function - It's the centre of sexual-emotional energy. It's the primary driving force for sexual activity. The desire to sink deep into the sea of feelings, be attractive and have a possibility to receive everything you wish for from your partner - these are the desires of the second chakra. SVADHISHTHANA - it's mainly a good manifestation of the reproductive ability. It also represents the second stage of our development. The evolution of consciousness into the form of today's pure human consciousness originates just in this chakra. It's the centre of our subconscious mind that contains all the experience and experiences of our current life since the beginning of our existence in our mother's womb. The one below it, MULADHARA chakra acts as a 'depot' of our karmas, but they only become active in the SVADHISHTHANA chakra. It's therefore just up to us, what use we make of our faculties. This chakra is responsible for taste.
  • Yantra - Six vermilion-coloured petals surrounding the blue centre of the lotus inside which a white circle is placed with the symbol of the chakra.
  • Mantra - VAM
  • Opening the chakra - one of the many ways: Adopt a relaxed, standing posture, shut your eyes. Relax and gently rock, with your child-like spontaneity within you, forwards and backwards as if you wanted to connect to the rhythm of the Universe. Let all your thoughts swim away.

Focus all your attention onto the point between the first chakra and your navel. It's the location of the SVADHISHTHANA chakra. Rub your palms on the chakra level and then bring your arms back along your sides and relax.

SVADHISHTHANA is associated with the energies of water. Imagine anything that will connect you to water. For example, imagine yourself standing in a pleasant rain, standing on a seaside or floating in a crystal clear lake. Connect yourself, in your thoughts, to this water and imagine the water energy entering your body. Try to make your feelings deep and strong.

Experience shows that the power of voice, its duration or pitch don't matter at all. What really matters is the feeling of vibration or response - resonance in any given chakra. The mantra offers potential for magnificent mental work. The initial vowel of the mantra directs the sound vibrations into the right place in an enormously powerful way.

Manipura

mani = jewel, pur = place, city

3. The MANIPURA chakra.

  • Location - above the navel (pancreas) or slightly below the solar plexus.
  • Function - This chakra represents, same as the preceding one, the process of delight seeking. The main purpose, however, is not sexual but emotional activity. MANIPURA represents the 'centre of power' but can also produce negative emotions, such as anger and rage. It's responsible for your eyesight.
  • Yantra - It's depicted as a lotus flower with eight dark blue petals. In its centre, it's got a red triangle with the Sanskrit symbol of the chakra inside it, on a white background.
  • Mantra - RAM
  • Opening the chakra - one of the many ways: Adopt a relaxed, standing posture, shut your eyes. Relax and gently rock, with your child-like spontaneity within you, forwards and backwards as if you wanted to connect to the rhythm of the Universe. Let all your thoughts swim away.

Focus all your attention on your navel area. This is the location of the MANIPURA chakra. Rub your palms on the chakra level and then bring your arms back along your sides and relax.

MANIPURA is associated with the power of fire. Try to imagine and experience heat. Imagine a little ball of fire within you, burning slowly. The fire grows stronger. You feel warmth first and then heat. You yourself are becoming the fire. All of its energy dwells inside you. Try to keep this feeling and visualisation in your mind for a little while.

Surya

Surya = Sun, Sun God

4. The SURYA chakra

  • Location - the Solar plexus - the fourth chakra (adrenal glands). It's located at the solar plexus level.
  • Function - It's the source of self-confidence and realisation of the power within you.

It sets us free from the environmental influences, but at the same time it gives us power to influence our living environment. This centre is responsible for forming our own principles, ethical rules and belief. It's an esoteric chakra, restoring the energetic processes of self-healing. It's responsible for physical health and healing capacity.

  • Yantra - It's got ten reddish-orange petals with a golden circle containing a dot in its centre - the symbol of the Sun.
  • Mantra - SUM
  • Opening the chakra - one of the many ways: Adopt a relaxed, standing posture, shut your eyes. Relax and gently rock, with your child-like spontaneity within you, forwards and backwards as if you wanted to connect to the rhythm of the Universe. Let all your thoughts swim away.

Direct all your attention to the area of the solar plexus. It's the location of the Surya chakra. Rub your palms on the chakra level and then bring your arms back along your sides and relax.

Surya is associated with energies of the Sun. Try to imagine and experience heat. Imagine, for example, a hot, sunny day when you're lying on the beach and your body is basking in the sun rays, receiving its blissful energy. Your body is literally engulfed in sun rays. Imagine a small, kind, ball of Sun forming directly within you, how it warms you up from within. The kind Sun provides everything with life and energy. You're receiving this energy. Gradually, you yourselves become the Sun.

Experience shows that the power of voice, its duration or pitch don't matter at all. What really matters is the feeling of vibration or response - resonance in any given chakra. The mantra offers potential for magnificent mental work. The initial vowel of the mantra directs the sound vibrations into the correct area very effectively and powerfully.

My own experience.

  • The Surya chakra is literally prodding us into 'working' with it every day. I often perform an open-air exercise, called Solarisation, an amazing exercise when I purposely look into the Sun (but here I must strongly warn everyone. Looking into the Sun must be disciplined and abide by strict rules to prevent any damage to your eyesight. It's highly recommended to firstly learn this technique under the guidance of an experienced teacher and only after that to try it by yourself). If this exercise is done correctly, then, we are not just protecting our eyesight but, in an unbelievable way, we energetically and informationally recharge all of our internal organs. It's because our eyes contain a very rich network of their (our organs) energy paths endings. We aren't just talking about energies known to science but also about energies and informational streams that have not yet been acknowledged or discovered by science. The Sun is our Father, it's in the charge of running the whole Solar system, all of its planets and it sends us both energies scientifically measurable and all other (unmeasurable) energies, including cosmic energies and informational patterns. After just one, short Solarisation exercise (10 minutes max) I often feel as though I've had two cups of coffee. I feel literally energetically 'recharged'.
  • The solar energy is distributed throughout the human body by one of the three, special, main channels - the PINGALA. This energy channel starts near the first chakra and, like a snake, twirls around our main channel, the SUSHUMNA, in the upward direction. The PINGALA ends in the right nostril. Another energy channel, the IDA, which together with the PINGALA spins around the SUSHUMNA in the upward direction, ends in the left nostril. IDA distributes the Lunar energy around the body.
  • When I perform the Solarisation exercise, almost always or quite often, I feel 'tickly' sensation in the right nostril which then makes me sneeze. Just once or several times. It gives me an opportunity to observe subtle nuances directly on myself as when and in what situations the streams of Sun energies occur in my body. I literally enjoy doing this and when I sneeze I feel something like purification and relaxation.
  • The reason why I'm mentioning all of this is the connection to the Solar chakra SURYA. After I had discovered the revealed knowledge of the SURYA chakra I started to include working with it during the Solarisation exercise, not just the eyes. And the first thing I experienced after this eye Solarisation exercise was the connection between the Solar plexus and the PINGALA channel. I lifted up my shirt so that the Sun could shine directly on my Solar and it immediately tickled in my right nostril and I sneezed. But it only happened after an eye Solarisation exercise, in other words after 'ventilation - purification - revival' of the PINGALA channel. So far, I haven't been able to do it without the preceding Solarisation exercise.
  • I realised that it's possible to effectively work with this chakra through visualisation. For example, I was in a forest at full moon night, hugging a tree and trying to 'connect'. I visualised the Solar energy, spreading all over the Moon's surface which then, in the form of a beautiful, silver orb, reflects it back to Earth. I was imagining how my body is receiving this transformed Solar energy through the SURYA chakra in the Solar plexus region. Immediately, it started to tickle in my nostrils and I sneezed. To sum up, it's not just the direct look into the Sun or exposing the solar to sunshine that causes this 'energetic ventilation' of the corresponding paths, but also the mental process, visualisation, thought, intention.
  • So, I've started to mentally work with the 'R' formant in the abdominal area and....most unbelievable things happen. For the time being, I don't want to write about them here. Maybe some other time.

Anahata

Anahata Nad = unstruck sound

5. The ANAHATA Chakra

  • Location - cardiac plexus - the fifth (heart) chakra is located at the centre of the chest, in the heart region.
  • Function - It's the chakra of emotional, not rational love. It's the centre of emotions and feelings. 'The path of your heart' is not a life strategy, it's joy in all aspects of our lives. It allows us to live our own lives and it influences the world of matter. Any particular level of consciousness is based on belief. We got used to the fact that life is a fight where there is necessary to have an effective defence and security planning. It's because the fear of loss. But if we choose the path of heart then there will be no room for fear. It's also the centre of poetry. He who focuses on working with this chakra can develop the writing or poetry talent. Another power originating in the ANAHATA chakra is the sankalpa shakti (the power to fulfil desires). The twelve petals of the lotus flower also refer to the divine features of the heart: bliss, peace, harmony, love, empathy, compassion, shrewdness, purity, unity, mercifulness, kindness and forgiveness.
  • Yantra -Twelve reddish-brown petals. The symbol of the chakra is in the white centre.

Focus your attention on the centre of your chest at heart level. It's the location of the chakra ANAHATA. Rub your palms on the chakra level and then bring your arms back along your sides and relax.

ANAHATA is associated with the air energies. Imagine fresh breeze in your face. Imagine how the air passes through you without stopping. You gradually stop sensing your body. You are becoming lighter and like air. You enjoy the feeling of lightness and purity. You are woven from limpid air. Try to experience these feelings of lightness and purity for a little while.

In the system of 9 chakras, VAJRADHARA is the sixth. What a beautiful link to the holistic, symbolic connections in the meaning of the numbers 9 and 6. VAJRADHARA is the chakra of magicians and healers. It portrays the symbol of Vajra in its centre, with 9 rays in total ( 1 central one, 4 and 4 at the opposing ends). This tells us, through the symbolism of the number 1 4 4, that he who wants to be a magician and 'light' (enlightened) healer, must firstly achieve, from the position of the Unity, the Cognition, both in the matter and spiritual spheres.

Since ancient times this chakra has been seen as mysterious because it's a source of magic power. VAJRADHARA is the chakra of magicians and healers. It allows us to raise the unknown, idling powers within ourselves and learn to control them in line with our consideration and will. This centre of energy can also protect us against the activities of foreign energies. It also acts as a strange barrier between the inner and outer powers. It's also responsible for our protection - the immune system. It's also stated that it's the centre of the spiritual, multidimensional, cosmic Heart.
  • Yantra - Bright yellow/gold flower with fourteen purple petals. It's got blue or silver symbol of Vajra in its centre.
  • Mantra - GRIM (HRIM). This mantra evokes a great cosmic projection.

CHAKRA MEDITATION

In the physical body, chakras are located in the spinal cord, brain, large neural plexi and endocrine glands. All physiological processes and organ systems: neuronal, digestive, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, etc. are controlled by these fine centres of life energy. If we influence the chakras, we, at the same time, also influence the systems or organs connected to those particular chakras.

Symbols (depictions) of chakras are used when meditating with chakras. Different schools also use depictions of various symbols, images of animals, insect, flowers, deities and letters of Sanskrit which are placed into the corresponding yantra. If we meditate with this symbol, we can influence the particular chakra.

The first stage of the meditation

We can meditate while sitting down, standing, lying down or moving around. It's desirable to be always completely relaxed and let go of your everyday problems. Read carefully the description of the chakra and study its image. Then try to imagine the chakra in as much detail as possible. Imagine the chakra resting inside your body, being connected to your spine. Then evoke a feeling of warmth in this chakra, then gentle stabbing, then cold and finally warmth again. When you gradually learn how to do it, you can also add the relevant mantra.

  • It's desirable to think of or imagine just one chakra during each meditation.
  • The duration of the meditation is 10 to 20 minutes.
  • It's suitable to start with MULADHARA and then, depending on how it goes, gradually carry on all the way to Ajna.
  • But be careful, it's said not to meditate with SAHASRARA!

The second stage of the meditation

Focus on the chakra you meditate with so strongly that you see your colour, your depiction of the chakra and experience your perception of the chakra. Everyone will experience different feelings. Start with MULADHARA and continue all the way to AJNA.

The third stage of meditation.

Imagine all chakras together and feel their vibrations. The 'Om' 'Mani' 'Padme' 'Hum' mantra is used for meditating with all chakras.

HINT:  CHAKRA MEDITATION WITH CRYSTALS

TECHNIQUE: I use 9 crystals that I select according to my feelings. These are usually quartz crystals, but often other minerals as well. I choose a quiet place and lie down. I place the quartz crystals over the nine chakra points and gradually breathe through them, one after another. Choosing the particular crystal for the particular chakra I leave up to my intuition. I start breathing through from the bottom, the first chakra Muladhara and finish with the ninth chakra Sahasrara. With the first chakra, I visualize that it starts 2 metres under my body, under the ground and it stretches all the way up to my coccyx. When breathing through chakras, I imagine that I breathe in and out just through that one particular chakra centre. I imagine that the crystals reinforce the chakras and cooperate with them. And that's it. I don't try to do anything else. Finally, I breathe in and out through all chakras at once.

OUTSTANDING EFFECTS: This meditation can bring me extraordinary experiences. If I manage to appropriately settle and concentrate, then, during breathing through chakras, I start spontaneously experiencing visions, images and scenes. These visions relate to the given chakra and experiencing them results in some type of purification or relaxation. Just one example: I breathe into the heart chakra Anahata and spontaneously spot a fish suffocating under the crust of ice. I strongly sympathise with the fish and wasting no time, with one mighty strike of my arm, I break the ice and save the fish from suffocating. After finishing the meditation, I can then reflect on the purpose and meaning of the experienced vision (it's the same method I use for interpretation of dreams which is contained in the book WORKING WITH DREAMS)

RECOMMENDATIONS: It's said not to meditate with Sahasrara. But I personally do meditate in this way with it. Decide for yourselves whether to perform this type of meditation with Sahasrara. Should you experience any unpleasant feelings, don't carry on with the meditation. Of course, I can only recommend to clean and recharge the crystals, from time to time, when needed.
