How we approach the number 1 through the wisdom of human subconsciousness

* Unity is the core of the manifested world. Unity pervades everything and everything depends on Unity - this is reflected in functionality, all numbers contain the number 1, but no other number can be contained in the 1.

* The Universe manifests itself in Unity - quite extraordinarily. In "The Alchemist", Paulo Coelho mentions ancient wisdom: Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.

* The unmanifested condition is symbolised by the zero, in other words, by the circle. The "opposite", manifested condition is symbolised by "The opposite" symbol - the line segment. Mankind uses this most powerful symbolism on a subconscious level, literally every day, everywhere. The graphic symbol on the power switch of a device (in other words, to transform it from the unmanifested state into the manifested) is a circle with a line within it.

* For example, unification of countries contains the idea of the incorporation of the principle of a UNIFIED PURPOSE into diversity.* The saying, "You're number one" indicates that somebody stands out from the rest, in other words is differentiated from others. And, on the contrary, the saying, "You're a good-for-nothing" (number 0), indicates that a person is not good at anything.

In what way might such a perfect, unmanifested Source start manifesting itself, in other words, become specific?

Literally, a colossal transformation is taking place here. Can there be a greater and more perfect change than transformation of the unmanifested into the manifested? But how can such a mysterious transformation be depicted? How can we sketch, on a symbolic level, the exact opposite of the circle? Let us go play with the circle.

Yes, that's it. Each point of a line segment has a different distance from the centre, in other words from the Source. The line segment does not embrace anything and it cannot either. It has to exist just for itself. It's the one and only, it's therefore the highest manifestation of the principle of specification, in other words, formulation from the absolute. The manifested miraculously forms or specifies from the absolute and immense ocean of unmanifested possibilities. The number 1 is like a javelin, whooshing shrilly through the calm air, firmly lodging with its tip in one, single point.

Have you noticed everything that must happen to the 0 to transform it into the 1? The space inside it narrows, the possibilities and potential inside become smaller and more specific. It's the same shape as the Mayan 0. It's quite possible that the Mayan 0, by its shape, actually refers to this principle.

The 1 symbolises the miraculous transformation process of the unmanifested into the manifested. It symbolises the purpose and process of the unanimous specification.

If somebody refers to someone as 'number one', it means that the person is the best in some particular area of activity and therefore is different from others. And if somebody says to somebody else 'You're such a nOthing', then he is hastily saying in his immaturity that such a person is no good at anything.
